  • β€œIt felt very natural and easy to talk with Theresa. I know we covered a lot of ground and she had a lot of assessment questions to go through, but I didn't feel rushed at any point and I felt like she was truly listening. I never felt like, "oh no I talked too much!" We also have a lot in common and I feel confident she is going to be able to give me a lot of answers and advice for the season I'm in.β€œ

About Theresa

Theresa is a Registered Dietitian and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over 13 years of experience working with patients from 0-90 years old. She specializes in maternity and postpartum nutrition, goal setting and accountability, and intuitive eating. She enjoys being a cheerleader for her patients as it's important to meet someone where they are at and give them the tools to succeed in their goals.

Approach to care

Theresa focuses on the underlying causes of behavior change or habits and helps clients realize that there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all nutrition. Everyone has different experiences and lives and digging deep and finding what truly works can be the key to understanding what works for you. That being said, there is no situation where Theresa isn't willing to cheer you on. Theresa's style is "professionally casual" and she likes to hear about you as a person and what's going on in your life.

Your first session with Theresa

Most of the first session is focused on building rapport and hearing about your day in both a food and non-food context. Theresa will talk to you about what prompted you to schedule a visit and what you hope to get out of working with a dietitian. A discussion of what you like to eat and how you eat, medical conditions, shopping habits, and other info is also always in the mix as well.
