About Therese
Therese is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer always trying to find new ways to expand her palate and move her body. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 14 she struggled A LOT with her relationship with food, body, and fitness over MANY years. Since finding more balance and clarity with her own health, she is on a mission to help those struggling with body trust and the overwhelm of nutrition dial in strategies to create a better relationship with food and heal the body to make eating enjoyable and natural while helping them feel empowered, capable, and confident again. Approach to care
It is incredibly important to me to treat every one of my patient's as the unique individual they are which means really getting to know YOU and what has brought you here. I aim to emphasize the nuance of health to help folks understand the many variables that influence one's wellbeing, while identifying markers around nutrition that may be contributing to conditions and concerns. I love trouble shooting how to heal the body from the inside out, and dialing in ways to apply appropriate changes and interventions CONSISTENTLY is a huge focus of what we do together.
Your first session with Therese
We will dive into your history from a psychological and physiological angle to start putting puzzle pieces together on how to effectively get you moving toward your goals. We will begin work on untangling and rewiring body and mind and develop appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities that meet you where you are at with lifestyle, time, and ability to create healthful changes so that navigating life feels doable and manageable vs daunting and overwhelming (and hopefully fun! :)). First session is all about developing a step by step plan for the process after digging into the elements previously discussed.
