About Therese
Hello! I’m Therese — a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Southern Minnesota. I’m passionate about helping people build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. With years of experience as a dietitian and training in mental health, I bring a compassionate, whole-person approach to care. I understand that nutrition isn’t just about what we eat — it’s deeply connected to emotions, habits, history, and life experiences. I specialize in supporting individuals who are navigating or recovering from eating disorders, disordered eating, or chronic, stressful cycles with food. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where you can explore your goals, feel understood, and make meaningful, sustainable change. If you’re looking for support that blends expert nutrition guidance with true empathy and mental health understanding, I’d love to connect and walk alongside you in your journey toward change and healing.
Approach to care
My approach is centered around you. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and that you already hold the strengths and resilience needed to create the change you want. My role is to come alongside you — to listen deeply, ask meaningful questions, and help you uncover what’s already within you. I honor that everyone’s journey looks different, and change doesn’t happen all at once — it happens through compassion, curiosity, and small, sustainable shifts. Wherever you are in your journey, I will meet you there with respect, empathy, and guidance. I look forward to walking with you as you explore what healing, growth, and lasting change can look like for you.
Your first session with Therese
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and talk about what brings you here. We’ll explore your goals, your relationship with food, and what support feels most helpful for you. There’s no pressure — you can share at your own pace. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you feel heard, supported, and ready to take the first steps toward meaningful change.
