About Tia
Hi, I'm Tia. With a BS in Food and Nutrition from the University of Alabama and 3 years as a Registered Dietitian, I have built my clinical experience in hospital settings and translate that knowledge into practical, everyday nutrition. I am a mom to a new baby, and I know how busy life can be, especially when you’re balancing healing, feeding, and daily rhythms. Outside of work, you will find me weightlifting, trying new recipes, baking sweet treats, exploring different cultures, or getting lost in a good book. As a new mother navigating postpartum, my main interest is helping other mothers navigate nutrition that fits their busy lifestyle and helps you feel like yourself again.
Approach to care
Together we'll approach your nutrition as a path to lasting wellbeing, not a quick fix. I base our plan on current science and practical strategies that fit real life. I am empathetic and warm, meeting you where you are and celebrating small wins along the way. We'll be direct when action is needed, offering clear steps and accountability you can actually follow. My counseling style focuses on behaviors, your relationship with food, and overall wellness rather than numbers on a scale. This holistic, educational approach helps you understand the why behind choices so you can sustain changes that fit your life long term.
Your first session with Tia
Our first appointment is a warm, low pressure conversation about you. We'll review your medical history and current health concerns, then deep dive into your relationship with food and what your days look like. No need to have it all figured out before you arrive; think of it as a starting point for a practical plan. Together we'll set one or two short term goals that feel doable, and we'll map out the steps to start this week so you can begin moving toward them with confidence.
