About Timothy
Hi, I’m Tim — born and raised on football, Buckeyes, and unpredictable weather! Ohio will always be home. I’m a Registered Dietitian with nearly 10 years of experience in nutrition therapy. For the past five years, I’ve worked as a travel dietitian, taking me across the country and giving me the opportunity to serve in diverse settings including hospitals, clinics, and telehealth. From small towns in the Midwest and South to major cities like Washington, D.C. and New York City — and even the West Coast, Florida, and Hawaii — I’ve gained a wide range of clinical experience. While I have a particular passion for gastrointestinal health and its various disorders, I also enjoy the challenges of working in areas like cardiovascular health, weight management, liver and kidney disease, tube feeding, IV nutrition, oncology, and more. Nutrition is more than just my career — it’s a true passion. I feel fortunate to be working with Nourish not because I have to, but because I genuinely want to.
Approach to care
I believe in a personalized approach to nutrition, tailoring each plan to the individual and their specific health conditions. My care combines evidence-based nutrition therapy—how food and nutrients impact the body and various disease states—with practical, accessible nutrition education. My ultimate goal is to empower clients with the knowledge and confidence they need to manage their nutrition independently. Ideally, by the time we finish working together, you’ll feel equipped to handle the concerns that first brought you to Nourish—without needing endless support.
Your first session with Timothy
Our first session is all about laying the foundation. I like to start by getting to know each other a bit—this helps me tailor our future sessions to best meet your needs. We’ll review your relevant nutrition and medical history, discuss the reasons you’re seeking nutrition counseling, and explore what you hope to achieve from our work together. We’ll go over a few intake questions, including your typical eating patterns, eating environment, digestive health, daily activity, and more. I’ll also ask you to walk me through a typical day of food and beverage intake. From there, we’ll collaborate on realistic short- and long-term goals that are measurable and meaningful to you. We’ll wrap up by agreeing on one or two initial action steps to get started (most of the deeper interventions will take place in follow-up sessions), and then schedule our next visit.
