About Tina
Before becoming a RD, Tina (she/they) ran her own small-party catering and personal cheffing company in Seattle until a mysterious chronic illness swept the kitchen mats right out from under her feet. For the past 5 years, Tina has worked as a Registered Dietitian in outpatient nutrition counseling, individualizing realistic and delicious nutrition approaches to meet her clients where they're at and building from there. Her quick change of circumstance and experience navigating the health care system has been a driving force behind her practice approach and formed her desire to treat medicine as a true collaboration, creating as much ease as possible during challenging or confusing times.
Approach to care
Tina's nutrition practice approach is trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, gender-affirming, culturally humble, and centered around self-compassion. She won't pretend to know your body or your life experience better than you do. She will, however, ask many questions and draw from her education and professional training to share nutrition tools, provide support and accountability, and hold space for her clients to explore their relationship to health. Tina is especially passionate about digestion/digestive illnesses, blood sugar management, disordered eating, and gender diverse care (hormone replacement therapies, gender-affirming surgery, etc.).
Your first session with Tina
Weβll go over some information about Nourish, discuss your nutrition-related interests, then move through an intake that shines a light on where to go next. Whether itβs toward a specific goal, symptom alleviation, or exploring your relationship to food/body, we figure it out together. The expectation is never perfection, rather to continually show up, find the next most possible steps, move forward imperfectly, give reasonable effort, and eat some tasty things along the way.
