About Tracy
My name is Tracy Andersen and I was born and raised in New Jersey. My career has had some interesting twists and turns along the way. I have a strong foundation in both clinical nutrition and mental health. Beginning my career in social work, I supported individuals facing complex mental health and substance use challenges, which shaped my compassionate, whole-person approach to care. Transitioning into dietetics has allowed me to expand that impact through roles worked in a variety of settings such as outpatient nutrition counseling, renal, inpatient (hospital), and long term care. Each position has offered valuable insights into the complexities of human health—from understanding how disease states develop and progress, to recognizing how nutrition needs vary across age groups, medical conditions, and stages of illness. Today, I help clients navigate their health with evidence-based guidance, realistic strategies, and a supportive, empathetic partnership.
Approach to care
My mission is simple: to empower you to feel your best through realistic, supportive, and sustainable nutrition guidance. I believe that progress is built on trust, consistency, and collaboration—and I’m honored to partner with you as you work toward your health goals. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, looking to improve your everyday habits, or seeking expert guidance tailored specifically to your needs, I’m here to help you thrive.
Your first session with Tracy
In our first session, my goal is to get to know *you*. We’ll talk about your health history, daily habits, symptoms, and nutrition goals so I can fully understand your needs. I’ll also review any relevant labs or medical information to make sure my recommendations are safe and personalized. You’ll walk away with clear, realistic steps you can start right away—nothing overwhelming, just practical guidance that fits your lifestyle. Together, we’ll outline a long-term plan and set the foundation for ongoing support, including messaging between sessions. This is the start of a partnership, and I’m here to help you feel supported, confident, and empowered on your health journey.
