About Valentine
Hi, I'm Valen, a Registered Dietitian with two years of experience across private practice, clinical settings, research, corporate wellness, and sports nutrition. I earned my MS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and I’m grateful to guide people with evidence-based nutrition that fits real life. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me baking, hiking, running, cycling, mountain biking, playing with my dog, or getting lost in a good book. My approach blends science with empathy, and I’m driven by a genuine desire to help you thrive through nutrition.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence-based science with empathic, warm guidance. I believe nutrition is a tool for lasting well-being, not a source of shame or restriction. We'll work together in a collaborative, nonjudgmental space to understand your relationship with food, your values, and your daily life. My approach is direct and action oriented, offering clear steps, practical strategies, and steady accountability. I practice from a weight-neutral, HAES-informed perspective and consider the whole person—sleep, stress, movement, mood—so you can make sustainable changes that fit your life. I also emphasize education, so you feel confident making choices that support your goals.
Your first session with Valentine
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll start by reviewing your medical history and biometrics, including any lab work, in a way that's easy to understand, then take a deep dive into your relationship with food and your goals. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet; we'll explore what’s working, what’s challenging, and what you want to change. Together, we’ll establish short-term goals and create a realistic meal plan you can actually follow. By the end, you’ll leave with clarity on the next steps and a sense of being supported.
