About Valerie

I’m a registered dietitian with over 20 years of experience helping people feel confident and supported in their nutrition journey. I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults on a wide range of needs — from picky eating and digestive concerns to diabetes, heart health, and autoimmune conditions. I understand that nutrition often impacts the whole family, and I enjoy creating plans that are both practical and family-friendly. Outside of my professional work, I’m also a passionate home baker. I believe food should be nourishing and joyful, and I love helping clients find that same balance. Whether you’re seeking guidance for your child, support with a health condition, or simply tools to make healthy eating easier, I’d be honored to work with you.

Approach to care

My approach to care is supportive, realistic, and client-centered. I believe nutrition should never feel overwhelming or restrictive, but instead fit naturally into your life. In our work together, I focus on listening to your story, understanding your goals, and meeting you where you are. Whether you’re managing a medical condition, looking to support your child’s nutrition, or simply wanting to build healthier habits, I help break things down into manageable steps that feel achievable. I emphasize progress, not perfection, and provide tools that are practical for everyday life. I also believe food should be enjoyable, so I work with you to find balance—making space for both health and joy at the table. My goal is to empower you with confidence, knowledge, and strategies that support long-term success.

Your first session with Valerie

During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll listen to your story, health history, and goals, and together we’ll discuss your current eating patterns, lifestyle, and any challenges you face. This is a judgment-free space where you can share openly. By the end of the visit, you’ll walk away with clear, realistic next steps tailored to your needs, as well as a plan for how we’ll continue working together. My goal is for you to feel supported, encouraged, and confident about moving forward.
