About Valerie
As a dietitian, I have experience in clinical inpatient/outpatient settings, diabetes education, and corporate wellness. I find a healthy lifestyle including what and how I cook, a great way to take care of myself and others. I have a life I treasure with my husband & family. I spend as much time as I can on the floor with my grandkids. I am excited to have the opportunity to help more people through the Nourish platform.
Approach to care
I would love for you to enjoy your food, to the benefit of your health and energy. Many factors influence your food and lifestyle choices: your environment, family, friends, and finances. My approach takes into account each individual and their unique health goals, challenges, and preferences. I believe in eating enough, not restriction. By focusing on what to add and not cutting out any food groups. I provide evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle counseling, encouraging progress over perfection. Every meal, every snack, and every new day offers another opportunity to practice your health habits. I feel it is a privilege to help each person I work with achieve their best health. One of my favorite motivational quotes is, " I wonder what would happen if I didn't give up?" Staying curious and hopeful goes a long way.

I want to know what your typical day is like. In what ways do you currently take care of yourself? What are your struggles? What do you want for your future self? At the end of our session, you will choose some behavior/habit goals to work on until our next meeting. I am here to support you with kind accountability, practical nutrition, and lifestyle suggestions. This an appointment with yourself to dig deeper into how to manifest what you want for yourself.
