About Valerie

Hi there! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Health and Wellness Coach, and a soon-to-be Certified Personal Trainer. My passion for learning about health and wellness began 15 years ago, when my personal struggles led to weight gain, then subsequent weight loss. I have extensive experience in working with individuals who are looking to manage their weight, those who have had metabolic weight loss surgery as well as with individuals who are looking to change or improve their relationship with food. In addition, I am currently in the final process of obtaining an advanced nutrition certification to work with individuals who have food allergies.

Approach to care

I pride myself on my genuine interest in learning about each person I work with, with the goal of providing a unique, individualized program, tailored specifically for you. During this process, I work diligently, and compassionately with you to identify objectives and goals and work through barriers and challenges that block progress. In my eyes, there’s no greater reward than being able to be a part of someone’s journey to improved health and wellness.

Your first session with Valerie

Relationship building and open communication are fundamental to any relationship. During our first session, my goal is to provide a safe, judgement-free space for us to learn more about one another. I’d like to learn about your medical history, nutrition history, lifestyle factors and goals as well as other pertinent personal information you would like to share. I’m also happy to share anything more about my background that you are curious about.
