About Viridiana
Viridiana is a Latina Registered Dietitian with over 5 years of experience in nutrition counseling. She holds both a Bachelorās and Masterās degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from Benedictine University, where she also completed her dietetic internship. Viridiana empowers the Hispanic/Latino community to embrace their traditional foods while building healthier habits. She practices participant-centered counseling, focusing on realistic, long-term goals over quick fixes.
Approach to care
Viridiana follows a weight-neutral and inclusive approach to care. She is anti-diet and believes all foods fit, and no one should have to give up their cultural foods that make up their identity. She will empower you to make changes that work best for you and your lifestyle.
Your first session with Viridiana
Viridiana will get to know you, review your health/diet history, discuss your goals, and start building a personalized plan, usually lasting about an hour and covering lifestyle, habits, and potential next steps like food logs or follow-ups. Expect questions about your food preferences, medical history, daily routine, and what you hope to achieve, with the aim of creating realistic strategies, not just restrictions.
