About Wan
Have you ever searched for nutrition advice online and felt more confused than when you started? Wondering what actually applies to you? Hi, I’m Wan, a Registered Dietitian with 6 years of clinical experience and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). I’ve worked in hospitals, private practice, and community health, helping people manage chronic conditions and improve overall wellness. My approach blends medical insight with practical, realistic strategies you can use in daily life — no extremes, just sustainable steps that fit your routine. I’m bilingual in Cantonese and Mandarin and deeply value cultural food traditions and family dynamics. Food is more than nutrients — it’s connection and identity. Your culture and preferences will always be part of our work together. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, yoga, and planning new adventures — striving for balance, not perfection.
Approach to care
Nutrition should feel empowering — not stressful. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, empathy, and real-life practicality. I practice through a Health at Every Size lens, focusing on behaviors, metabolic health, and overall well-being rather than weight alone. We’ll look at the full picture: sleep, stress, culture, daily schedule, lab work, and your relationship with food. I believe in educating you so you understand the why behind recommendations — because informed decisions create lasting change. This is a judgment-free space. You don’t need to be “perfect.” You just need to be willing.
Your first session with Wan
Our first session is about getting to know you. We’ll review your medical history, labs, lifestyle patterns, and your relationship with food. We’ll talk about what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what feels realistic right now. Together, we’ll identify clear short-term goals and outline a path forward that feels doable — not overwhelming. You’ll leave with: - A personalized, practical starting plan - Clear next steps - A better understanding of your body and health markers - And reassurance that you don’t have to figure this out alone. My hope is that my professional experience, cultural understanding, and genuine care can support you in building a healthier, more confident version of yourself — at a pace that works for your life. I truly look forward to walking alongside you on your nutrition journey.
