About Wendy

Hello! My name is Wendy Wesley, I am 54 years old have been a registered dietitian for over a decade. In that time I have worked with hundreds of patients on weight loss, diabetes, cardiac disease and kidney disease but my specialty is menopause and women's health. My goal is to make nutrition understandable and relatable for my patients. The what/how to eat can be overwhelming but it doesn't have to be. I will listen to your life and nutrition goals and tailor a program that is doable in your current life. I am a media dietitian and my articles, interviews, cooking lessons and recipes have been featured in the Washington Post, ABC News Worldwide, The San Francisco Chronicle, Tampa Bay Times, Reader's Digest and every media outlet in Tampa Bay. I sincerely hope we can work together.

Approach to care

I start by asking you, "Where do you want to be 6 months or 1 year from today?" and, together, we will create a plan with goals and actionable steps to create sustainable change. All the goals and steps are approved by you. What do you want to change? How fast do you want to go? What are the beliefs that you have about your health? What are the barriers to change? We will discuss all of this and more in our appointments. We take a look at take a look at fiber, added sugars and nutrient density and make a few changes so you can build a new relationship with food.

Your first session with Wendy

Your environment including your family home life and work schedule matter greatly. We will discuss all of this and your health history, labs, surgeries and any other information pertaining to your health. We then talk about your goals and desires for your health, your unique food preferences, your household members, your budget, your shopping style and your cooking style (or lack thereof - it's OK). Then we will talk about a plan going forward and a few things to work on until our next appointment. The Nourish Guarantee will ensure you never get stuck with an unexpected bill so no worries there.
