About Whitney
Hi, I'm Whitney. I'm a Registered Dietitian with 23 years of experience helping people build healthier relationships with food. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Murray State University and have worked in clinical hospital settings, private practice, community health, and long term care. Most of my practice has been in Kentucky and Tennessee where I serve adults and families with warmth and curiosity. I love spending time with my family and Boston Terrier, Lola. I also enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, being outside and discovering new recipes to cook for my family. These hobbies keep me grounded in practical wellness I advocate.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence-based science with empathy and collaboration. I believe nutrition supports mental, physical, and emotional health, and I work with you to build sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. I practice with a Health At Every Size mindset, focusing on behavior, well being, and a flexible approach that honors your values and pace. We'll translate science into doable steps, explore your routines, and empower you with knowledge so you can make informed choices. My holistic view means we consider sleep, stress, and life goals as part of your nutrition path.
Your first session with Whitney
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history and take a deep dive into your relationship with food, without judgment. You don't need to have everything figured out yet; we'll meet you where you are and set short-term, attainable goals together. I aim to create a low-pressure, collaborative space where you feel heard and supported. By the end of our visit, you'll have a clear sense of the next steps and feel confident that we are teammates on your wellness journey.
