About Whitney
Hi, I'm Whitney! I'm a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping people build realistic, sustainable habits that support their health and lifestyle. My background is uniquely rooted in both nutrition counseling and hands-on culinary leadership, having spent years working in professional kitchens as a culinary manager. I've developed a deep understanding of food shopping, menu creation, meal planning, and the real-world challenges people face when it comes to the age-old question, "What's for DINNER?" I also bring experience in long-term care, where I've worked closely with older adults and understand the complex nutrition needs that can come with aging. I believe nutrition should feel empowering- not overwhelming! I love to help people set achievable goals that fit into their daily lives. Whether you're navigating a health condition, working toward weight loss, or simply looking to feel better in your body, I'm here to partner with you every step of the way!
Approach to care
As a clinician, my care philosophy blends evidence-based practice with warmth and collaboration. I work from a weight-neutral, HAES-inspired perspective and a holistic view that includes sleep, stress, and mood alongside nutrition. You’ll find that I’m direct and action-oriented, translating science into practical steps you can actually use. We’ll build a plan that respects your values, helps you feel capable, and creates lasting habits rather than quick fixes. I tailor guidance to your life, educate you on the why behind choices, and invite questions so you feel empowered to decide.
Your first session with Whitney
Our first appointment is a conversation, not a test. We’ll review your medical history, lab data or biometrics, and your short-term goals while exploring your relationship with food. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet; we’ll shape a realistic, personalized plan together. I’ll share what I’m seeing in the information, answer your questions, and set a couple of practical next steps you can start this week. The goal is to reduce anxiety, feel supported, and start building sustainable change at a pace that fits your life.
