About William
Hi, I’m William. As a Registered Dietitian with a decade of experience across private practice, research, and academia, I specialize in bridging the gap between high-level science and your daily life. I hold a Master of Public Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, a background that gives me a deep understanding of the biochemistry behind your health. Based in North Carolina, I'm passionate about helping you cut through the "diet culture" noise to find a sustainable, evidence-based relationship with food. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll likely find me enjoying the outdoors around my state—hiking, rucking, or kayaking.
Approach to care
I believe nutrition should be collaborative, not judgmental. My approach is rooted in the Health At Every Size (HAES) framework, meaning we prioritize your behaviors and overall well-being rather than a number on the scale. I see you holistically, considering how sleep, stress, and your daily routine impact your nutrition. My goal is to empower you with clinical transparency and the knowledge to make informed choices, translating the latest research into clear, doable steps that lead to lasting change. My goal is to help you achieve "behavioral wins"—sustainable changes that improve your lab results and your energy levels without causing burnout.
Your first session with William
Our first appointment is a low-pressure, comprehensive assessment focused entirely on your unique needs. We start by reviewing your medical history and daily routines to understand the biological factors driving your health, ensuring we see the full picture rather than just a snapshot of lab values. Together, we will identify where your current nutrition might be misaligned with your goals and pinpoint exactly what matters most to you. You will walk away from this first session with a clear understanding of the "why" behind our strategy and one or two practical, sustainable goals that you can start implementing this week.
