About Yaa Asantewaa

I am Registered Dietitian who loves partnering with clients to create lasting, positive changes in health and well-being. I believe nutrition care should be personalized and culturally responsive, honoring each person’s unique journey and needs. I am committed to fostering a healthy relationship with food and supporting overall wellness through practical, evidence-based strategies. My educational journey includes a PhD in Food Science and a Master of Public Health, providing me with a broad perspective that integrates clinical nutrition, community health, and the science of food. This diverse training informs my holistic, client-centered approach to nutrition, focusing on realistic solutions tailored to individual lifestyles.

Approach to care

I approach nutrition through a personalized and culturally responsive lens, honoring the unique experiences, environments, and relationships with food that shape each person’s health journey. Using motivational interviewing, goal setting, and collaborative planning, I empower clients to take meaningful charge of their well-being. My approach is holistic and practical, blending evidence-based nutrition science with strategies that fit naturally into everyday life. I also create a supportive space that encourages accountability, so clients feel both motivated and confident every step of the way. I am excited to work together and support you in reaching your health goals, one step at a time.

Your first session with Yaa Asantewaa

In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other. I will ask about your nutrition and health history, lifestyle, goals, and any challenges you have faced along the way. This conversation is open, judgment-free, and focused on understanding your needs. Together, we will start mapping out a plan that feels realistic, sustainable, and aligned with your needs and values. You will leave with clear next steps and a sense of partnership, knowing you have someone in your corner, cheering you on, for the journey ahead.
