About Zheng
Hi, I’m Zheng! As a Registered Dietitian, my greatest passion is creating a truly safe and respectful space for all bodies. I’m a Health At Every Size (HAES) informed provider, and I use a weight-neutral approach to help you find genuine peace with food and body. My background in Psychology and Neuroscience, paired with advanced degrees in Clinical Nutrition, allows me to offer a uniquely compassionate partnership. My experience includes supporting individuals through acute and chronic GI conditions - from IBD and food sensitivities to post-surgical recovery - as well as navigating unique diabetes, bariatric, and GLP-1 journeys. I am also deeply passionate about supporting clients as they heal relationships with food. This includes navigating emotional eating, disordered eating, and eating disorders. In all areas of my practice, I am dedicated to offering compassionate, weight- neutral care.
Approach to care
I believe your relationship with food is deeply personal, and your story deserves to be heard. As a BIPOC provider and someone who moved to North America for college, I understand it from my own lived experience. My approach is centered on creating a warm and empowering space where you feel truly seen. We’ll explore the connection between your cultural background, your lived experiences, and your health goals, always meeting you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll focus on flexibility, not rigid rules. We will set small, achievable goals and work with your concerns and barriers—not against them—to build habits that honor your whole self.
Your first session with Zheng
Think of our first session as a comfortable, safe space for me to simply get to know you. My main goal is to truly listen and learn your story. We’ll chat about your life - from your upbringing and the foods you grew up loving to your daily routines, your relationship with food, and the ways you enjoy moving. We’ll also gently explore your values, any stressors you’re carrying, and what motivates you. We will also make plenty of time to discuss your goals, your hopes for working with a dietitian, and any concerns you may have. I genuinely believe that the more real and open we are, the more we can create a routine that works for you. I would be so honored to be a part of your journey!
Education
Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (University of Pittsburgh), Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience (University of Toronto)
Hobbies
When I’m not working, I’m all about finding what genuinely feels good. I treasure my quiet days as a homebody (naps are essential!) just as much as I love getting outside to hike with my loved ones. You can also often find me exploring local cafes - I have a particular weakness for cat cafes! Lately, I’ve been dividing into new creative hobbies like photography and video editing. And, I’ll admit, I have a soft spot for collecting cute stationary and blind boxes!
