About Zon-Shuan

As a registered dietitian, I specialize in supporting older adults and individuals managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and those navigating life after gastric bypass surgery. I’m passionate about helping clients improve their health through realistic, culturally sensitive, and sustainable nutrition changes. My practice also includes a focus on elder nutrition, recognizing the unique challenges and needs that arise with aging. I speak Mandarin and Taiwanese, and I’m committed to making nutrition care accessible and meaningful across cultures and languages.

Approach to care

I take an evidence-based and individualized approach to nutrition, aiming to meet each client where they are in their health journey. My care is rooted in empathy and respect—I believe that every client deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered to make changes that feel right for them. Whether we’re working on managing a medical condition or making small everyday improvements, I strive to create a judgment-free space built on trust.

Your first session with Zon-Shuan

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your health history, eating habits, lifestyle, and any specific goals or challenges you're facing. My goal is to understand the full picture—not just what you eat, but how food fits into your life. From there, we’ll begin creating a personalized plan tailored to your needs, preferences, and medical background. You can expect a welcoming, respectful conversation and leave the session with clear next steps and a sense of support.

Education

University of Michigan, School of Public Health.

Hobbies

I’m a true food enthusiast—I love cooking, baking, and sharing beautifully plated meals on social media. Exploring new restaurants and trying different cuisines is one of my favorite ways to unwind and stay inspired. When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll often find me enjoying outdoor activities or discovering new places to eat. I believe food should be both nourishing and joyful, and I bring that same energy into my work with clients.
