About Colleen

Hi, I’m Colleen—a Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I've been a dietitian for over a decade and love what I do! I live in Minneapolis, MN with my husband Matt and our two rescue pets: Dr. Abraham Erskine, a cat who adopted us in 2016, and Annie, our lovable (and very anxious) hound dog. Like many who grew up in the ’90s, I couldn't escape diet culture. I spent years stuck in restrictive habits, confused by food rules, that left me disconnected from my body. Studying nutrition—and navigating a gluten allergy—helped me realize how powerful food is for both physical and mental well-being. Now, I help others break free from food rules and build sustainable eating habits that support their real lives, evolving health, and long-term goals. Whether you're managing a health condition or simply want to feel better in your body, I’m here to help you feel more at ease with food while making meaningful progress toward the health you deserve.

Approach to care

One thing my clients often hear me say is: ā€œWe’re all little science experiments.ā€ There’s no one-size-fits-all solution. We make small, meaningful changes to learn what truly works—sustainably and without overwhelm. I use tools like food and behavior logging to increase awareness and guide lasting habits—not for calorie counting, but to help you better understand your patterns and progress. While I’ve spent much of my career helping clients manage weight, I don’t believe a number on the scale defines your success. If you're looking to feel better in your skin, quit dieting, improve your relationship with food, and focus eating intuitively, I'd love to partner with you on your journey. My goal is to help you feel empowered in your choices—now and in the years ahead. My goal is to create a safe space where you can bring your authentic self. I welcome ALL of my fellow humans! :)

Your first session with Colleen

The initial appointment is an in-depth information-gathering session where I’ll invite you to share your story. We’ll explore your past experiences, current situation, and future goals. Ā As part of a comprehensive, holistic health assessment, I’ll highlight key insights and patterns that stand out. Together, we’ll develop actionable next steps and a personalized roadmap to support your success. Throughout this process, you remain in control—because no one knows you better than you do.

Nutrition and Dietetics Degree

Hobbies

When I’m not watching movies with my family (which happens more often than I’ll admit), I’m probably rewatching Smallville, Gilmore Girls, or Schitt’s Creek for the hundredth time—comfort TV is my love language. I also love being outside, whether that's soaking up a local festival or taking long walks to help my sweet, yet anxious dog Annie burn off some energy. I'm happiest spending time with family, catching live music, or simply enjoying the fresh air!
