āWorking with Colleen has literally changed my life! I grew up with a toxic mindset with food (i.e. skinny culture, good food, bad food, 1200 calorie diets always) and all of that has changed. She has taught me how to enjoy nourishing my body, eating balanced plates, and most importantly to feel comfortable in my body. Iām hitting health goals (cholesterol, hormonesā¦) but without a toxic, stressed out mindset. She is so kind, and warm, and encouraging. Its an absolute pleasure working with her. ā

āColleen is the first person I've been able to honestly talk to about my relationship to food and diets, and how I really feel ABOUT my body, and how I feel IN my body. Going through perimenopause, when nothing feels good or "normal" anymore, has been frustrating and depressing. I'm so glad to have found Colleen to help me through this time, and I'm learning to focus on long-term habits now, so I can keep snorkeling the oceans and hike 14ers with my family. ā

About Colleen
Iām Colleen, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over a decade of experience helping adults step off the dieting roller coaster and build a more sustainable, confident approach to eating. I currently live in Minneapolis MN with my husband, Matt, our dog Annie, and cat Abe. I work with people who are tired of constantly questioning whether theyāre ādoing nutrition right,ā stuck in cycles of food guilt, overthinking, or starting over. After my own experience with restrictive eating, and years working in corporate wellness and traditional weight-focused models, Iāve learned that health isnāt about perfect food choices or shrinking your body. Itās about feeling grounded in your decisions, trusting your body, and building habits that actually hold up in real life. I help you cut through nutrition noise, reduce overwhelm, and focus on what truly supports your energy, metabolic health, and long-term well-beingāespecially during midlife transitions.
Approach to care
My approach is weight-neutral, non-diet, and evidence-based. That means we donāt focus on restriction or rigid rules. Instead, we focus on building skills, behaviors, and confidence so food takes up less mental space and supports your life, not controls it. I blend intuitive eating with evidence-based, practical nutrition guidance, mindset work, and behavior change strategies. Together, we'll work on reducing the "all-or-nothing" thinking, creating realistic habits that fit your schedule and lifestyle, supporting you energy, metabolic health, and longevity, and making informed food decisions. You'll learn how to listen to your body, navigate food with confidence, and make choices that feel supportive, not stressful. Most importantly, my goal is to create a safe space where you can bring your authentic self. I welcome ALL of my fellow humans!
Your first session with Colleen
Our first session is focused on getting to know each other. Weāll focus on understanding you and your health picture, not just your food choices. I want to hear your story. You can expect a supportive, judgement-free conversation about your history with food, dieting, and health. We'll set clear, realistic starting points that feel manageable and not overwhelming and collaborate on your long-term goals and what your picture of health and longevity look like to you. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you and this will be the first of several appointments together. Whether your goal is to stop feeling out of control around food, support your health during peri/menopause and prioritize your health long-term, or finally step off the dieting roller coaster, our work together is about building trust, confidence, and health behaviors that last.

Hobbies
When Iām not watching movies with my family (which happens more often than Iāll admit), Iām probably rewatching Smallville, Gilmore Girls, or Schittās Creek for the hundredth timeācomfort TV is my love language. I also love being outside, whether that's soaking up a local festival or taking long walks to help my sweet, yet anxious dog Annie burn off some energy. I'm happiest spending time with family, catching live music, or simply enjoying the fresh air!
