Patient reviews
โI was so impressed with Heather I'm leaving a 2nd review. Not only did she help me prep/recover from surgery, she also heped me make it through an extremely stressful time. I used to be a stress eater, but by learning how to feed my body better, I maintained/ lost weight during this time - a miracle! She also introduced me to all sorts of foods I would not normally have tried and now really enjoy. I now have lifelong eating habits I can maintain :)โ

โHeather was the perfect dietician to help me prep for and recover from hip replacement surgery. I had quite a bit of weight to lose but she respected my boundaries of not wanting bariatric surgery & not using GLP-1s. Her approach with me was so much better - teaching me healthy eating habiits that I could and am still maintaining. We focused on increasing fiber & protein & incorporating healthy carbs. My surgery was a complete success. Good nutrition also helped me recover quickly and well. โ

โI started working with Heather (and Nourish overall) as an experiment, and I am so glad I found her. She's incredibly knowledgeable and provides a ton of practrical insights that have made a meaningful impact to my lifestyle and daily habits. I've seen my LDL cholesterol improve over the last three months and generally feel much more energized and healthy thanks to advice and guidance. Highly recommend.โ

About Heather
I'm a Denver, CO based Registered Dietitian who has specialized in the solid organ transplant patient population for the last five years and now use my in depth clinical knowledge to prescribe food and movement as medicine in disease prevention and treatment. My specialities include managing chronic diseases, preparing for and recovering from surgery, and remaining fit and strong throughout the lifecycle. I especially enjoy managing vitamin and mineral deficiencies, nutrition support, and doing a deep dive into research to debunk those common nutrition myths! PCOS management is near and dear to my heart as I personally have PCSO and hypothyroidism - I know the struggle!
Approach to care
Food and movement are the two of the biggest joys of life, and I love sharing that with others and individualizing care to help you experience the those joys in ways that matter most to you. I use a weight neutral approach with hints of intuitive eating and gentle lifestyle modification. Please note, if you're looking for weight loss exclusively, I may not be the best fit for you. As an empathetic person, I deeply care about who who are as a person first, then what your health goals are, which I explore through asking questions to understand, drawing connections, and coming alongside you to empower you to be the best version of you! I view food and movement as medicine, especially in treating and preventing chronic disease.
Your first session with Heather
Take a deep breath, and show up as you are! I want to get to know you outside of your nutrition concerns, and for you to know and trust me outside of being your dietitian. Once we're ready to dive in to your nutrition habits, we'll talk about your diet history including what a typical day of eating looks like for you, your food preferences, comfort level and knowledge of nutrition topics, and most importantly, what YOUR goals are. I'll also ask about your activity levels and any big changes changes in your weight. No need to pretend to have it all together - none of us do! By the end of the session, we will have set one goal together to kickstart your health journey.
