About Rita

I’m a Registered Dietitian who’s passionate about helping people build sustainable, balanced habits that support their health and lifestyle goals. My own experience with nutrition transformed the way I approach mindset and overall well-being, and it’s what inspired me to pursue this field and help others do the same. My focus areas include gut health, emotional and stress eating, weight management, and functional nutrition. I help clients connect the dots between what they eat, how they feel, and what’s going on in their bodies, so they can make changes that actually feel good and work long-term. Whether you're navigating medical concerns, working on your relationship with food, or trying to create realistic changes that stick, I’m here to support you with a thoughtful, personalized approach. My goal is to help you feel confident in your choices, reduce overwhelm, and create habits that feel good and last.

Approach to care

My approach is rooted in the understanding that nutrition is deeply connected to all areas of your life. It’s not just about what you eat, but how your habits, emotions, stress levels, sleep, and activity all come together to impact your health. I focus on meeting you where you are - acknowledging your unique challenges and strengths - and helping you build practical, positive habits that add to your life rather than take away. Together, we’ll work through obstacles, celebrate your progress, and create a plan that’s flexible, sustainable, and feels right for you. I combine evidence-based guidance with a compassionate, collaborative approach because I believe lasting change happens when nutrition feels doable and balanced, not overwhelming or punishing. You’re the expert on your body and your life, and my role is to support you with tools and strategies that empower you to thrive.

Your first session with Rita

Our first session is all about getting to know you and your unique story. We’ll explore your health history, current habits, lifestyle, and what you want to achieve. I’ll ask about how you eat, your relationship with food, activity, sleep, and any health concerns you have. I understand that starting with a dietitian can sometimes feel overwhelming or intimidating, so my goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. Nutrition is more than just facts - it’s personal, and your individual needs and challenges guide everything we do. By the end of our time together, we’ll have a realistic, actionable plan focused on small steps you can take to move forward with confidence. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, encouraged, and ready to start making changes that fit your life.

Education

Master of Science: Nutrition Education, TC, Columbia University, New York, NY Certificate in Didactic Program in Dietetics: TC, Columbia University, New York, NY

Hobbies

Outside of work, I love the intensity of functional training like weightlifting and kettlebell workouts, pushing myself through movement and challenge. At the same time, I appreciate the slower, quieter moments-playing piano, drawing, reading, and cooking-that help me find balance.
